Safari from Nairobi Masai Mara, Lake Naivasha, and Amboseli National Park


ITINERARY


Day 1 : Nairobi - Masai Mara

We will pick you up from the airport or your accommodation in Nairobi generally around 7:00 a.m. but it will depend on where you will be in the city or at the airport. Departure from Nairobi towards Masai Mara passing by the Rift Valley viewpoint where we will stop to take some photos, near Suswa Ranges and Mount Longonot. Afterwards we will continue on the road to the national reserve of Masai Mara, arrival at the lodge or camp in the afternoon, settling in, lunch and a short rest and then a safari after 3:45 p.m. when the sun goes down and the wildlife emerges from the shadows. At 6:00 p.m. Return to the lodge or camp where you can take a hot water shower before dinner. Accommodation will be at the lodge or camp on a full board basis.

Day 2 : Full day safari drive Amboseli

Breakfast at 6:30 a.m. and departure for a full day at Kenya's most popular sanctuary where we will have the best opportunity to spot the Big Five (lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino and elephant) along the savannah plains of the Masai Mara reserve. With the visit to the Mara River where you will be able to see hippos in the ponds and crocodiles sunbathing on the banks of the river. At 1:00 p.m., I will take you to a place for a picnic which will have been prepared by your camp leader. After a short rest. you will resume the safari. Return to camp at the end of the day. You will have the opportunity to visit a local Maasai village. Note that tips are given to the Masai when you visit their village. After a hot shower, a good dinner awaits you. Accommodation will be at the lodge or camp on a full board basis.

Day 3 : Masai Mara -Lake Naivasha

Breakfast and drive to Lake Naivasha, arrival at the lodge for lunch. The afternoon is free and you can organize a boat trip with your guide to discover the wildlife of the lake before reaching “Crescent Island”, where part of “Out of Africa” was filmed. Here we will have a little safari on foot and see the animals from another angle and in their natural environment. Dinner and night at the lodge camp, full board. Among the many lakes in the Rift Valley, nature lovers will particularly appreciate Lake Naivasha. The freshwater lake, whose surface area varies during the rainy season (from 114 km² in the dry season, up to 991 km² in the rainy season), is a true ornithological paradise. Naivasha and its Crescent Island, crescent-shaped peninsula, are a bird sanctuary and home to hundreds of species including ibises, herons and weaverbirds. we will also witness impressive fishing scenes with fish eagles. The lake is surrounded by rich vegetation – acacia forests – where many species have found an ideal environment: giraffes, buffalo, monkeys, hippos…
